Productivity continues to be an ongoing challenge for most businesses, as they try to do more with less, or strive to improve the gap between revenue and cost.
So how can you improve the productivity of your organisation or team? Here are some ideas.
- Don’t implement systems or processes that clash with your organisational culture. It’s pointless having systems people work around.
- Improve asset utilisation across the board.
- Reshape meetings to minimise the productivity drain.
- Implement knowledge libraries to take workload of your support desk. This can work in many areas not just IT.
- Remove unnecessary distractions and white-noise.
- Define clear roles and responsibilities and improve job design.
- Align systems, process, people and information.
I hope this helps generate ideas for your next tranche of productivity gains.
